THINGS TO DO IN LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles is one of the hottest destinations in the United States. Aside from sunny weather and the glitz and glamor of being the city where most American films are made, Los Angeles has a wide variety of different tourist attractions for every type of tourist.
Rodeo Drive
This three block long stretch of shops and boutiques is famous for the most chic fashions, unique haute couture items, and designer labels. This area is known to shopped by the rich and famous and is featured in many films including such classics as “Pretty Women.”

Venice Beach
Venice Beach is known for its eclectic collection of street artists and street performers. Street vendors make this a great place to pick up souvenirs, too. Of course, it's a beach, so you can watch the waves or surf them.

Norton Simon Museum of Art
Formerly known as the Pasadena Museum of Modern Art, the Norton Simon Museum of Art holds masterpieces by Degas, Picasso, Rembrandt, and Goya. The 'Acoustiguide' audio-guide is highly recommended for those who are interested in learning about what they're seeing.

Walt Disney Concert Hall
Built by architect Frank Gehry, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is a masterpiece of architecture. You can either tour the concert hall itself which is incredible, or you can see a concert by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Concert tickets are somewhat difficult to get, though well worth the cost and the effort.

Los Angeles Zoo
With a lot of shade and cuddly Koalas, the Los Angeles Zoo is a great place to spend the day. While it isn't as impressive as the larger San Diego Zoo, it's much easier to see the whole zoo in a single day. Be sure to check out the new Gorilla exhibit.

Farmers Market and The Grove
It's not really a farmer's market anymore, but you can get a great selection of fruits and veggies here as well as a good selection of kitchen wares. Gumbo Pot is well-known for its seafood gumbo and its gumbo ya-ya, while Kokomo is a great place to get coffee.

Universal Studios Hollywood
The magic of Hollywood is film-making, so no trip to Los Angeles could possibly be complete without a studio tour of Universal Studios. Take a ride around the studio to see some behind-the scenes action, or take one of the theme-rides for a wild adventure that will make you feel like you're in a movie.

NBC Studios
NBC Studios offer an inexpensive walking tour with no age limit, and they offer a real behind-the-scenes look that you won't get with other studio tours. On the other hand, there isn't a lot of glitz and glamor in this tour. What can really make NBC Studios a great experience is if you can get tickets to the filming of one of NBC's shows.

Chinatown
This is a great place to go if you're from a small town that doesn't have its own Chinese center. You can find Chinese trinkets and ethnic foods for a reasonable price, as well as intricate Chinese artwork such as inlaid furniture. During Chinese New Year, Chinatown is an especially exciting place to visit.
